AppDetectivePRO and DbProtect Knowledgebase Update 4.42

This month's update for our AppDetectivePRO and DbProtect Knowledgebase is now available.

Knowledgebase version 4.42 includes new checks for vulnerabilities and configuration issues in Hadoop, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL and Oracle data stores.

New Vulnerability and Configuration Check Highlights

Hadoop

• Report directory where MapReduce stores control files
• Check value of hadoop.rpc.protection parameter to verify that RPC encryption is enabled

Microsoft SQL Server

• Confirm that MS SQL Server 2008 SP4 is installed
• Confirm that MS SQL Server 2008R2 SP3 is installed

MySQL

• Check version to determine if the database contains vulnerabilities described by the Oracle Critical Patch Update Advisory - October 2014

Oracle

• Check version to determine if the database contains vulnerabilities described by the Oracle Critical Patch Update Advisory - October 2014
