In some circles, October may be best known for hosting Halloween, but at Trustwave we know it as Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), in partnership with the National Cybersecurity Alliance (NCSA), today kicked off the 19th annual Cybersecurity Awareness Month. The month-long event is a public and private venture designed to educate businesses, their customers and consumers on the need for cybersecurity and steps they can take to increase their security posture.
Trustwave will participate through a series of social media posts containing cybersecurity tips and safety measures that any organization or consumer can implement. Please check here.

The NCSA will also host a webinar on October 6 at 1 p.m. ET with elected officials, government leaders, and industry executives who will come together to discuss our united mission to cybersecure America.

On October 12, at 2 p.m. ET, the NCSA will moderate a Twitter chat from the handle @staysafeonline.
This Twitter chat will feature 2022’s key messaging, including advice around passwords and password managers, multi-factor authentication, software updates, and phishing. Participants are invited to share practical steps individuals can take to secure themselves better, their families, and their workplaces! Join the Twitter chat to discuss your organization’s educational information and resources.
The NCSA will end the month by hosting a late-day AfterGlow Party on November 1, from 4-8 p.m. EST. The organizers encourage everyone to grab a drink and join the NCSA and key cybersecurity awareness thought leaders to recap the challenges, successes, and learnings from this year’s Cybersecurity Awareness Month activities.
