Trustwave's SpiderLabs to Deliver Briefings at YSTS 4.0

CHICAGO (May 13, 2010) - Trustwave, a leading provider of information security and compliance solutions, will deliver multiple briefings at You Sh0t the Sheriff (YSTS) 4.0, 17 May, 2010, in São Paulo, Brazil. The presentations will be delivered by members of SpiderLabs, the advanced security team at Trustwave responsible for incident response and forensics, penetration testing, application security and security research.

Ryan Jones, senior security consultant, will deliver Top 5 Physical Ways into a Data Center, which will cover the top five common methods to breach the physical security of a data center. Based on information gathered for more than 14 years, Jones will provide examples of social engineering, lock picking and construction mistakes to breach the security and falsely obtain entry into an organization. Jones will provide examples of how these vulnerabilities can be exploited to enter a physical data center, as well as solutions to mitigate these weaknesses.

Nicholas J. Percoco, Senior Vice President and head of SpiderLabs, will present, Analysis of Cybersecurity Incidents in 2009. The presentation will analyze Trustwave's Global Security Report comprised of data gathered from approximately 1900 penetration tests and more than 200 security incident and compromise investigations over the past year and provide both a technical and business impact analysis.

"Our investigations show that many of the leading causes of security breaches are vulnerabilities that have existed for many years," says Robert J. McCullen, chairman and CEO of Trustwave. "Both presentations will provide attendees with clear, actionable information to further secure both their network and physical environments."

"We're excited to speak for a third year at the premier conference for the information security community in Brazil and all of Latin America," says Nicholas J. Percoco, senior vice president and head of SpiderLabs for Trustwave. "Our research will help organizations understand the different types of vulnerabilities that exist in the marketplace today and the best means to mitigate those risks."
