Taking a look back at the history of Black Hat USA (established in 1997), we realized that a lot has changed in the world of cybercrime since the early days of this major industry event. So at Black Hat 2013, we asked 426 attendees to take a trip down memory lane and also to help us predict the future by way of a survey.

We found that:

  • Pagers are the technology of the past attendees missed the most
  • Email and social media are preferred starting points when it comes to hacking an executive
  • Knowing attacker methods and motivations is half the battle when it comes to cybercrime

Check out our new infographic to see the results of our second-annual Black Hat survey.
